Birth of a New Haiti

Haiti Trip; Day Six & Seven: There are moments throughout our lives where our mouth cannot speak the words that our soul wishes to express. Occurrences such as falling in love, the loss of a loved one, the pain of betrayal and the joy of acceptance, these are the type of moments where words fail to measure up to our emotions.

As I sit here trying to communicate the events of the last 48 hours, I find that I have a mouth full of teeth and no tongue, and my fingers lay still upon my keyboard. Of course, today’s paralysis is being caused exclusively by the sheer magnitude of what is occurring around me and the level if secrecy being required of me. I will not apologize for my insistence upon this transformation. So, with that being said, I will leave you with these simple words: tomorrow, the sun will rise and shine. The question is: will you?
