Holiday in Haiti
Today was a holiday in Haiti and the throngs of people, cars and motorcycles which customarily envelope me were conspicuously absent.
As I passed through the streets from one meeting to the next it appeared as if the country has paused to exhale.
And though such calm normally indicates a level of serenity has settled in, from behind my dusty window I was reminded that tearless grief bleeds inward.
This is all I have to say for today…
