It’s the end of my third day in-country and I am already tired to the bone.
In any event, today was a good day for Haiti as discernible progress was made within each of the following categories:
- Enhanced trauma response through the introduction of a nationwide air ambulance program
- Promotion of peace and social development through the reduction of gang violence
- A job creation initiative through the reopening of a shuttered manufacturing facility in one of country’s poorest neighborhood
- Further progress towards the resolution of Haiti’s most significant land tenure dispute
All in all, a pretty good day.
That’s all for now. I’m exhausted. So, as the ceiling fan above me clicks and hums it’s Haitian lullaby, I think I’ll call it a day.
Goodnight.
