Haiti Trip (October-November); Day Six: In a few minutes I will be departing for Cap Haitien to meet with an well known and respected agronomist who is associated with the United Nations. The goal of this meeting will be to analyze the methodologies presently being used by successful micro-farming operations in the north.
While in Cap Haitien, I will also be stopping by For Haiti With Love’s burn clinic. As you may or may not recall, this burn clinic was the first place that I ever stayed at in Haiti and it is the only organization that I have ever fully endorsed.
From Cap Haitien, I will then travel to Mole Saint-Nicolas to conduct another town hall meeting and to audit the progress of the micro financing program we recently instituted. Considering this will be my first trip back to Mole since we handed out the initial loans, I expect a warm and rowdy reception!
