Haiti earthquake anniversary‘For the fallen there is only silence. It is we who make the noise.’

These words came to me in 2010 when I first knelt amongst the visible bones and human carnage in Titanyen. They struck me like a hammer to an anvil and they still resonate within my soul each and everyday.

As I prepare to return home, to the healing sanctuary of those who love me, I find my mind turning over a universal truth.

There will come a time when each of us, (regardless of our ethnicity, nationality, economic standing or fortune of geography), will draw our last breath upon this earth. For those yet to pass, I seek a transition to the hereafter of reverence, peace and dignity. And for those unfortunate souls who have past and whom the world has failed them, I will move heaven and earth to right this injustice.

This is all I have to say for today and for this trip. Be well…
